Free web tool

Make an exhibit bundle in your browser, for free.

Drop in your PDFs, put them in order and give each exhibit a number and a title. You get one PDF back with an index at the front, a label on every page, clickable navigation and bookmarks. You install nothing and your documents are not uploaded.

You need no account, email address or card number. Your browser reads your files and sends them nowhere.

How to make a bundle

Three steps, in one browser tab.

  1. 01

    Add your documents

Drag your case folder or loose PDFs into the window, or pick them with the button. Subfolders come along. Files that are not PDFs are left out.

  2. 02

    Put them in order

Drag the exhibits around or use the arrows. For each one you fill in the party, the number and the title. Several exhibits in one PDF? Split them with a page range.

  3. 03

    Make the bundle

Give the bundle a title if you want and click Make the bundle. The download starts by itself. The file was made on your own computer and exists nowhere else.

What is in the bundle

One PDF you can file or send as it is, in which the reader finds the right exhibit straight away.

  • Index at the front

Every exhibit with its number, title and page number. Click a line and you are at that exhibit.

  • A label on every page

Each page says which exhibit it belongs to, so even a loose printout finds its way back.

  • Clickable navigation

From the index you click through to any exhibit, and from the pages back to the index.

  • Bookmarks

Every exhibit gets a bookmark, so the sidebar of the PDF reader shows the structure of the file too.

  • Every page on A4

Larger or smaller pages are scaled to A4, portrait or landscape as they are. To keep the original sizes, switch it off.

  • Renumbering

Move an exhibit to another place and one click numbers each party 1, 2, 3 again.

How does that work without uploading?

The web tool is a program your browser downloads and then runs itself. Your PDFs are read, merged and labelled in the memory of your own computer. There is no server that receives your documents, and the page loads no trackers and no third-party scripts.

Your browser may call picking files "uploading". Here it is not: the files are only read on your computer.

Because everything happens in your browser's memory, there is a limit: about 500 MB of documents per bundle in total. If your case file is larger, make two smaller bundles, or use the desktop app.

Questions about the web tool

Is the web tool really free?

Yes. There is no trial period and you can make as many bundles as you like. What the web tool does not do is in CourtMerge Pro: your office stamp, a bundle per party, compression and saved case files.

Are my documents sent anywhere?

No. Your browser reads the files and makes the bundle on your own computer. There is no server that receives them, and the page loads no trackers and no third-party scripts.

How large can a bundle be?

About 500 MB of documents in total. Everything happens in your browser's memory, and that has a limit. If your case file is larger, make two bundles, or use the desktop app.

Does it work on a Mac?

The web tool does: it runs in the browser. The desktop app is a program for Windows 10 or later.
